Pak-China military relations to reach unprecedented heights: COAS

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif said on Tuesday that the military relations between China and Pakistan will reached unprecedented heights, according to a statement issued on the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) website.

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited Bahadur Ranges (Attock) and witnessed Joint Field Exercise Warrior-III, while a senior-level Chinese military delegation under Gen Li Fayi represented People Liberation Army (PLA) on the closing ceremony of Pakistan-China special forces joint exercise for counter terrorism.

Speaking on the occasion, General Raheel Sharif lauded the young soldiers for their display of professionalism and skills during the exercise and said that the exercise had boosted military relations between Pakistan and China.

“The everlasting relation will grow to unprecedented heights as both countries will continue to work for elimination of terrorism in all forms,” the army chief said.

He commended Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) soldiers for their outstanding performance during Zarb-i-Azb and stated once again that the operation will continue till the elimination of the last terrorist.

@Economy What is this "son of the soil" argument? I never understood it. All Pakistanis are "son of the soil". People who gave most ( wealth & families) for Pakistan were from present day India and will for me be true Pakistanis who fought for us so called "son of the soil". @Abdul you should have Idea there is great people to people contact also. Every year CGS (Chinese Government scholarship) is providing Pakistani students more than 500 scholarships for education in china . I have used these figures with too much care ,in reality I believe is much more.

@Khwarezmi He is talking about true son of soil. Every Pakistani is son of soil and every one who sacrifice something worth for Pakistan is true son of soil. Either they sacrifice for creation of Pakistan or either for development of Pakistan they are true son of soil and RS is one of them.

It has been observed by the people that General Raheel Sharif is a committed general of Pakistan Army. In addition, he is a trustworthy, Honest and faithful soldier of the Pakistan. Three years ago our country conditions were very bad no one was feeling safe and sound in their own land but now the same country is sound and safe for the people. It shows the integrity of one person Who is General Rahel Sharif. It is great lessen for the nation that if one person can do this whole if the whole nation take stand and stood at one platform than how much it could be developed.

Relations are good and must be used for purposes of national importance. But never lay all your eggs in one basket or Never give anyone too much. Relations may be international but they are human relations after all. In such kind of trust environment if one party does a small mean act then pain could be high.

contd.. Being an India - I am not expecting to get all my land back from China and looking for a realistic solution by making line of control as internal border with flexibility in borders so that our citizens roam all around. Why can't Pakistan think like this? we are having millions of starving people to feed. we should take care of that and concentrating in consolidating current boundaries. Economic prosperity is essential for any country to remain unite. Only having nuke bomb is not enough otherwise USSR would not have been divided in 10 parts. Pakistan -my friend please get up...rest of the world is far ahead from us...its time to chase them. Live and let others live otherwise nothing can save this country or any country.

@Raj why not you should talk about or have thoughts having peaceful referendum in Kashmir and let the Kashmiris' to decide their future, rather than enforcing them by though illegal 1 million force strength in indian occupied Kashmir. Why not you should also think about returning Pakistan land to Pakistan, like Monawa, Jonagarrh, Hyderabad, Laknow, Gurdaspure, and there are similar other small 15 states which are under illegal occupation of india, which has affiliation with Pak in 1947. The best thing is lets the people chose where they want to go, rather than forcing them with weapon.

Raj, how many people live in the areas that India believes that China has occupied? And how many people live in Indian administered territory in Kashmir? The comparison you made is not realistic. Besides, who is Pakistan to decide to make the LOC to international border, should not the people of Kashmir decide it? More realistic solution would be to give the people of Kashmir self-determination, which would also be in line with the UN resolution.

@Raj, I respect your concerns about our poor people in both the countries and the need for us to do our utmost to find a better life for them. Dear friend, Kashmir has been burning for decades now and India has failed to control/satify them even with 500.000 soldier stationed in Kashmir. I know, indians think, all of them on streets come from Pakistan but be a bit mindful and think if it is possible when there are thousands domonstarting or showing their dissatisfaction in various ways. But even if we leave this discussion aside, is India ready to sit, talk and find a just solution to this issue? And you and me both know that they don't. You should also know that Pakistanies are mainly lesser hardliner in nature while in India your government and the media are promoting utmost hatered towards us. India is never an issue in our elections while Pakistan is always used in Indian elections to creat hatered and thereby win elections on sentiments.
