Sindh: quota system

Published September 15, 2015

I WAS born and raised in Hyderabad, Sindh. I studied at the University of Sindh, and had been a victim like thousands of others of an unjust quota system during my study in the 1970s.

As a result of the quota system, today incompetence, nepotism, discrimination, divisions and corruption are the characteristics of every department in Sindh. Needless to say that our political leaders have used this unjust system for their vested agendas.

In this situation, the chief justice of Sindh can be the saviour of the people. I appeal to him to take suo motu action against the quota system and force the government to implement a system of merit, fairness and equality.
