Dist council to award scholarships

DADU, Dec 24: The District Council of Dadu has allocated Rs500,000 to award scholarship to the poor and deserving students of the district.

The students of Sindh University, Mehran Engineering University, Liaquat Medical University, Jamshoro, other girls and boys colleges, high schools, middle schools and primary schools are advised to send their applications to the office of the District Nazim of Dadu, before Jan 31, 2002.

KIDNAPPED: Three armed men barged into the house of Qadir Bux Palari at Palari village in Bula Khan Taluka on Sunday night.

Armed men kidnapped Ms Mool Palari, 17, and escaped in a car. Ms Kazbano, the aunt of the kidnapped girl, lodged an FIR with the Looni Kot police against three accused Allah Jurio, Hayat Bhan and Haji.—Correspondent
