ISLAMABAD: The much-awaited elections of the Chess Federation of Pakistan will be held here on Sept 2.

According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Sports Board on Friday, the elections of the chess federation were slated to be held on Aug 31 in Lahore.

However, due to some unavoidable circumstances, the elections have been rescheduled for Sept 2. As regards the place, now the elections will be held here at the Gun & Country Club.

According to the press release, election commissioner Shoaib Mir Memon, who is additional secretary of the Ministry of IPC, will make sure the elections are held in free, fair and transparent manner.
