KARACHI: Metropolitan CC chalked up their second straight victory in the KCCA Zone-VI Daud Khan Memorial Cricket Tourn­ament when they trounced Ravi Gymkhana by 109 runs at the Afza Cricket Ground here the other day.

Batting first, Metropolitan CC posted a modest total of 193 all out in 34.4 overs with Saif-ur-Rehman (38), Hasan Mohsin (38) and Fahaddis Bukhari (33) being the major run-getters.

But in reply Ravi Gymk­hana were bowled out for a paltry tally of 84 inside 23 overs. Slow left-armer Alam Khurshid Shah inflicted most of the damage with figures of four for 17.

Maaz Khan starred with a fine 74 (10 boundaries and two sixes) and Ata Mohammad hit 56 (five fours and three sixes) as Hyderi Sports collected 227 in 34.5 overs before dismissing Qasba Sports for 164 in the 27th over to score a 63-run success at the KCCA Stadium.
