LAHORE, Oct 13: The Lahore High Court on Monday adjourned indefinitely the hearing of a government appeal seeking cancellation of bail granted to Asif Ali Zardari.

The division bench comprising Justices M. Javed Butter and Chaudhry Muzammil Khan allowed the adjournment on a request submitted by prosecutor Iqbal Ahmad Bhatti. No date for hearing has been fixed.

Zardari was allowed bail in a drugs smuggling case, and the government appealed for its cancellation on the plea that the decision was not taken on merit.
