KARACHI: Remittances by the overseas Pakistanis remained intact in the first month of this fiscal year, reported State Bank on Monday.

The central bank said the remittances in July 2015 were $1.663 billion which was 0.86 per cent higher over the remittances the country received in July 2014.

Record remittances of $18.454bn was sent by overseas Pakistanis in 2014-15, which was $2.617bn higher over the preceding fiscal year. The highest amount of $474 million was received from Saudi Arabia in July 2015.
