LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri along with president Raheeq Abbasi is leaving for Europe tonight (Aug 1) for launching his ‘peace curriculum’.

Sources told Dawn that Dr Qadri would address curriculum ceremonies in Norway, Italy, France and other countries besides setting up peace centres and appointing peace ambassadors there.

The visit is being organised by PAT to help promote peace and end terrorist and extremist tendencies among Muslim communities.

The PAT chairman may also visit the United States for the same purpose but would return before local government polls in Punjab, the sources added.

Confirming the report, information secretary Noorullah Siddiqui claims that it is a scheduled visit though it was not made public.
