The director speaks

Bin Roye has been directed by Shehzad Qureshi and Momina Duraid, and while the former was busy in finalizing the product, Images on Sunday got hold of the latter who as producer/co-director had a lot to say about her first film.

Q. Was it difficult to manage shooting both the film and the serial side by side?

It was extremely difficult to direct and produce a serial and feature film side by side. It was an experience in itself with a lot of learning that will help us in our future projects.

Q. How different were the projects — the film version and the TV serial?

Love stories are love stories. It does not matter whether you show them in a film or television. The execution however is different for the big screen and the television. All I can say is that the story of Bin Roye can touch hearts; it has moving emotions that keep you with the characters.

Q. Tell us something about the music of Bin Roye and about the TV version?

The background score has been done by Shani. The songs are composed by Sahir Ali Bagga, Shani, Shiraz Uppal and Waqar Ali. The singers are Rahet Fateh Ali Khan, Rekha Bhardawaj, Shiraz Uppal, Harshdeep Kaur, Saleema Jawwad, Nabeel Shaukat and Zeb Bangash. One of the songs has been sung by Abida Parveen too. The film is currently playing in cinemas while the TV serial will follow in six months.
