Slain journalist

Published July 24, 2015

SHAAN Dahar, who worked for a private TV channel, was killed a year back at Badah, Larkana district, after getting threats for reporting social evils in the area.

After one year, on the Eid day, his ailing mother was also beaten to death. According to reports, some maulvi of an adjacent mosque wanted to buy a portion of their plot at cheap rates. On the Eid day loudspeakers targeted their house.

On this, the two daughters of the slain journalist raised objection, but both of them were beaten up . On hearing this, their mother came to their rescue, but she was beaten to death.

We appeal to all concerned to provide justice to with the family members of the slain journalist.
