LAHORE: Pakistan cricket selectors will not pick fast bowler Wahab Riaz when they announce the squad for One-day International series against Sri Lanka as the bowler’s X-ray has shown fracture on his hand.

Pakistan’s ODI squad is likely to be announced on Friday (today).

However, after two weeks, on July 15, another scanning of Wahab’s hand will decide if the bowler is available for the remaining ODIs.

The ODI series starts on July 11.

Wahab had suffered the injury during the second Test against Sri Lanka and returned home.

Rahat Ali joined the team in his place in Sri Lanka.
