HYDERABAD, Oct 8: The Center of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, and the Isra University, Hyderabad, here on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding for jointly conducting research in basic medical sciences.

According the MoU, faculty members of the universities would be given assignments to teach in the two institutions as and when needed. They would have access to research laboratories and other facilities on mutual basis.

The universities would work closely in organizing training workshops, symposia, seminars and conferences on subjects of mutual interest. They would also organize lectures on ongoing research and other relevant topics on regular basis.

Research fellows of the CEAC and the Irsa University would be provided with sampling and analysis facilities on subsidized rates and both the institutes would prepare a joint bi-annual report.

It was also decided that meetings of heads of the universities or their representatives would be held at least once a year to chalk out academic and research plans.
