Three matches decided in Razzak Arain Rocball event

KARACHI: Friends Club, City Sports and Drigh Road Club won their respective matches on the second day of the Abdul Razzak Arain Ramazan Night Rocball Tournament at the Mini Sports Complex, Nazimabad.

The tournament, jointly organised by the Pakistan Rocball Federation and the Sindh Rocball Association, began on June 29 and will conclude on July 4.

Ten teams are participating in this event.

In the first match of the day, Friends Club beat Garden Club 2-0. The scores were 25-14, 25-13.

In the second match, City Sports beat Ghazi Sports 2-0 with scores being 25-22, 25-20.

In the third match Drigh Road Club beat Garden Club 2-1 with scores being 26-24, 16-25, 25-21.

The officials who supervised the matches were Mohammad Ajmal, Ahmed Ali, Ali Hussain, Khaild Pervaz and Arshad Ali.

Meanwhile, the selection committee of the Pakistan Rocball Federation including chairman Saeed Ahmed Arain, president Usman Ijaz Bajwa, senior vice-president Maqbool Arain and general secretary Umme Laila Kalsoom announced here that final trials for the selection of players for both men and women teams will be held on Friday.

The selected players will comprise Pakistan rocball teams for the International Amateur Games and the Asian Rocball Champi­onship to be held from July 24-27 in Bangkok.
