SUKKUR: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Students Federation, Jeay Sindh Latif Sangat and Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz staged protests on Friday in Jacobabad and Hyderabad against the murder of JSQM Qambar-Shahdadkot leader Abdullah Soomro who was gunned down a couple of days ago.

In Jacobabad, activists of JSSF and JSLS took out a rally, demanding arrest of Soomro’s killers.

The rally began its march from Shaheed Allah Bux Park and terminated outside the press club where the participants held a demonstration and sit-in on road, bringing traffic to a halt on both sides for some time.

The protesters’ leaders said the JSQM leaders were being eliminated one by one under a conspiracy. It was hard to believe police had not even ‘suspected’ anybody of the murder when almost everybody knew who had killed Soomro.

They demanded immediate arrest of Soomro’s killers and award of exemplary punishment to them.

HYDERABAD: A large number of JSQM activists staged a demonstration outside the press club here on Friday in protest against the murder of the party’s Qambar-Shahdadkot leader.

The local party leaders Rehman Pirzada, Nawab Burdi and others who led the protest said that Soomro was killed a couple of days ago. Atrocities and injustices were being meted out to Sindhi people and they were being deprived of their rights, they said.
