Hrithik Roshan goes an extra mile for stunts in Mohenjo Daro
Bollywood director Ashutosh Gowariker praised the actor Hrithik Roshan for working hard to perform stunts in their upcoming film Mohenjo Daro. He said that Hrithik is “pushing all limits” to perform them, reported IANS.
“For Hrithik, Mohenjo Daro has been extremely challenging in the wake of his shoulder injury. We have tried to be careful not to aggravate his injury. And he is pushing all limits to perform the gruelling stunts,” Gowariker said.
The audience will see Hrithik punching and kicking in the film, which also stars new comer Pooja Hegde in an epic adventure love story set at the time of the Indus Valley Civilization.
Mohenjo Daro, meaning Mound of the Dead in Sindhi, is a lost civilisation that was abandoned in 19th century BCE. The city’s ruins lie in the Larkana district of Sindh, and are a designated Unesco World Heritage Site since 1980.
Although Mohenjo Daro was earlier set to release in January next year, the director has announced that the film will make its way to cinemas in August 2016 instead.
About the current status of the film, he said: “The shooting has been going good till now and we’ll complete the shooting in September.”
Hrithik, who has been doing extensive research about Mohenjo Daro for the film, has previously worked with Gowariker in Jodha-Akbar. This will not be the first time that the director would be delving deep into the past as he has a penchant for historical flicks with Lagaan being the most popular film directed by him.
