LAHORE, Oct 6: PML-Q president Shujaat Hussain and Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi have expressed deep sense of shock over the murder of MNA Maulana Azam Tariq.

In a message from Germany, Chaudhry Shujaat said the late Maulana was a matured parliamentarian who had played a constructive role for the revival of democracy in Pakistan.

Paying tribute to Maulana Tariq, he said all efforts would be made to apprehend the terrorists involved in the incident.

In a condolence message, Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi prayed that God may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.—APP
