Ex-Olympians to play in PHF series

KARACHI, Oct 4: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) hockey series involving some former Olympians and internationals will be played here at UBL Sports Complex on Sunday at 4.00 p.m.

Olympian Ayaz Mahmood led Habib Ali Kiddie (HAK) XI will meet Habib-ur-Rehman (HUR) XI in this match to mark occasion. Ex-Olympic centre forward Kamran Ashraf will lead HUR XI.

Executive secretary Shabib Abbas said that PHF was launching the programme to promote hockey integration and harmony among the four provinces to pay homage to renowned Olympians and hockey promoters and comply with the spirit National Sport Policy of promoting of national sports.

SHA is organizing the match on behalf of PHF have made adequate arrangements to hold the match in befitting manner. SHA have selected HAK XI while Sukkur Hockey Association picked HUR XI.
