BADIN, Oct 4: The residents of various villages of the coastal area of Badin Taluka have demanded a re-survey be carried out for the assessment of losses through an honest team.

They said this in a press statement issued here on Friday.

They said that irregularities had been carried out in the Union Council Bhugra Memon during the survey.

The villagers belonging to the Murad Ali Lund village said that the Nazim of Union Council Bhugra Memon had neglected many deserving villagers who were victims of the rains and floods.

The villagers alleged that the Nazim deliberately did not allow the survey committee from carrying out a joint survey of the losses.

ASSESSMENT: The district coordination officer, Badin, said on Friday that assessment of losses was near completion.

The DCO announced that the figures of the losses caused by rains would be made public by Oct 5 after a meeting of the district committee.
