SHEIKHUPURA: A woman was allegedly electrocuted by her husband over dowry dispute at Sadhan village on Sunday.

Nisar tied the knot with Shabnam about three months ago and the woman did not bring the dowry according to the expectations of her in-laws. They started tormenting her by repeated taunts and quarrels and she decided to go back to her parents’ place which enraged her husband.

Nisar and other members of his family tortured Shabnam who fell unconscious. The man also brought her in contact with ‘live electricity wire’ and later claimed that she had died due to electrocution.

The Saddar Muridke police on the report of the woman’s father registered a case against Nisar and his father and they confessed to killing her.

KIDNAP: A three-year-old boy was kidnapped for ransom on Sunday.

Shahroze was playing in front of his house at Pathan Colony when some people took him away.

The Ferozewala police are looking into the case.
