HYDERABAD, Oct 4: Activists of the Pakistan Human Rights Foundation marched from GOR Colony to the press club here on Saturday to protest against increasing incidents of terrorism, excesses against peasants and human rights violations.

Speaking on the occasion, PHRF secretary-general Mehboob Sangi, Abdul Ghani Khoso, Jehangir Sarwar Sehro and others alleged that a man, Aejio Bheel, was falsely implicated in a theft case at the insistence of a local landlord in Kot Ghulam Mohammad. The said Mr Aejio later died of torture.

They said family members of Manoo Bheel were being held hostages by a feudal lord of Sanghar but the police and the local administration had done nothing to recover the people.

They also condemned the murder of journalist Amir Bux Brohi in Shikarpur.

The leaders of the organization urged the government to take steps to stop human rights violations in the province.
