DASKA: Hundreds of lawyers and PPP workers took out a procession in the city against the killing of two lawyers and held a candlelit vigil for them.

The procession, led by PPP Daska President Advocate Raheel Kamran Cheema, started from the Lorry Adda and after marching on various roads, culminated in front of the Daska City police station where Rana Khalid Abbas and Irfan Chohan were shot dead by police.

The participants held a candlelit vigil and offered prayers for the deceased. They criticised the Punjab government for failing to control police.

Addressing the gathering, Raheel Kamran Cheema paid tributes to the slain lawyers for upholding the prestige of the lawyers’ community.
