ISLAMABAD: Burglars and auto-thieves struck at three different places and made off with cash and valuables, police said here on Tuesday.

Some burglars broke into the shop of Mohammad Sayed, located in G-8 Markaz and looted Rs350,000 in cash.

Foreign currency and gold ornaments worth Rs200,000 were stolen from the house of Nadeem Tahir, located in Loi Bher

In another incident, a Toyota Corolla of Mariam Khan was lifted from outside of her relative’s house in G-13/1.

Meanwhile, a liquor den was unearthed in the area of Malpur, located in close vicinity of the high security zone, the police said. The Secretariat Police raided the den and recovered 100 litres alcohol and a 30-bore pistol along with ammunition and arrested a bootlegger.

Margallah police arrested two for selling petroleum products illegally.

Similarly, the Golra police arrested a man for power pilferage in E-11/4.
