LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday recorded statements of the two doctors who conducted postmortem of the Christian couple lynched at Kot Radha Kishan.
Amid high security before the court, police also produced 106 accused involved in burning Shama and Shehzad to death after leveling blasphemy allegations against them last year.
The prosecution presented before the court the two doctors, including a woman doctor, who conducted postmortem of the victims.
In their statements, they told the court that the bodies of the victims were severely burnt and the examination also proved they were first tortured and then burnt to death.
Meanwhile, the prosecutor submitted an application before the court, stating the accused and witnesses were in a large number and courtroom space was not enough to accommodate them so the department should be given time to present other witnesses in the open.
The presiding judge accepted the prosecutor’s plea and adjourned the hearing until Monday, summoning other witnesses to record their statements.
