ISLAMABAD: International Islamic University (IIU) recorded a thumping 59-run win over Comsats in a match played at the Comsats Ground, as part of the Red Bull Campus Cricket tournament.

After winning the toss, the IIU batsmen scored an impressive 195 in the allotted 20 overs. Amir Jamal topscored with 48 while Faizan scored 24. Uzair was the most successful bowler for IIU, snaring three wickets.

In reply, Comsats could only muster 136 runs to concede a comfortable win to their opponents. The hosts found the demanding run-rate beyond them with only Hamza making a significant contribution of 47 as their innings folded in 16.4 overs.

Amir Jamal was later named Man of the Match as he followed his batting performance by taking two wickets for only seven runs.
