PHF unveils 2003-2004 programme

FAISALABAD, Sept 30: Pakistan Handball Federation (PHF) will arrange one international and four national events during 2003-2004.

This was decided in Executive and General Body meeting of the PHF on Tuesday with Ahsan Aalam in the chair.

The meeting approved the audit reports and minutes of the last meeting in addition to approving the annual budget of the federation. It also finalized the programme to be arranged by PHF during 2003-2004.

According to the programme national handball championship will be played during last week of December in Peshawar while Punjab will host national beach handball championship. This event will be held in Chiniot during the last week of April.

The meeting decided that WAPDA will host the national women handball championship and time and venue for this event will be announced later. The PHF also decided to request Beaconhouse School System to arrange national junior (Under-18) handball championship.

Meanwhile the meeting also discussed the holding of third South Asian handball championship and decided to hold this international event in Lahore immediately after SAFE Games.—APP
