PESHAWAR: The Fata Secretariat has launched online Performance Monitoring and Reporting System (PMRS) for ensuring transparency and efficiency in the developmental initiatives as well as service delivery in tribal areas of the country.

This new system for the tribal areas has been developed and implemented with the assistance of USAID-funded Fata Institutional Strengthening Project (FISP). Keeping in view the far flung inaccessible locations of Fata, this new system is capable to monitor the development projects in those areas as well as map the performance of the employees with less human and logistic resources.

The system is a total shift from the manual paper-based progress reports to online mechanism that enables identification of location, transmission of pictures as well as other data to the high ups in Fata Secretariat with a single click on computer.

The senior management of Fata was keen to have a state-of-the-art system for monitoring and reporting of the projects as well as staff in different tribal agencies. The system has been fully deployed and data regarding development activities is being entered into the system by the relevant departments.

It will ensure availability of complete details about performance and execution of the development projects in Fata thus ensuring transparency and accountability.
