LAHORE: Sixteen weightlifters were selected after one-day trials to attend a training camp from which a Pakistan team will be selected for the upcoming International Weightlifting Championship.

The weightlifters who took part in the trials were monitored by PWF selection committee, comprising chairman Rashed Malik, Awais Akbar, Hafiz Imran Butt, Ilyas Butt, M. Azhar, Nuzhat Jabeen and Amjad Amin Butt.

The training camp commences here from May 3.

62kg: Faisal Shafiq, Usman Akbar

69kg: Abu Sofyan, Umar Ashfaq

7kg: Umer Rasool Lone, M. Tahir, Umair Fayaz

85kg: Habib Asghar, Zohaib Manzoor

94kg: Usman Rathore, Anas Javed

105kg: Azhar Amir Sajid Rasool

105+kg: M. Nooh, Dastgir Butt.
