LAHORE: A ruling on the stayed project of 7-km long signal-free corridor from Qartaba Chowk to Liberty Chowk Main Boulevard, Gulberg, will be announced on Friday (today) as a Lahore High Court full bench concluded its hearing here on Thursday.

Several petitions were filed against the project by individuals and members of the Lahore Bachao Tehreek. The petitioners included Imrana Tiwana, I.A Rehman, Ayaz Amir, Faryal Ali Gohar, Fahad Malik and others.

They questioned the violation of environment related laws committed before the launch of the project by the authorities.

A single bench had on March 6 stayed the project and later a full bench was constituted to decide the matter.
