Security forces kill ten terrorists near Pak-Afghan border

PESHAWAR: Ten terrorists were killed by security forces in Shonkrai near the Pak-Afghan border in Mohmand Agency early on Sunday, said a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the ISPR, at 1:30am, a group of 10-15 terrorists attempted to sneak into Pakistan territory.

Pakistani troops observed their movements and surrounded them. The two groups exchanged intense fire for an hour before the insurgents were eliminated.The bodies of the terrorists are now in the custody of security forces.

Of the 10, nine were between the ages 25 and 30, while one of the recovered bodies belonged to an individual around 50 years old.

Earlier, reports had said that 10 unidentified bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from Shonkrai and shifted to Galanai Hospital Headquarters for identification.
