Mahira Khan's Bin Roye trailer intrigues, leaves us wanting more

The trailer for Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan's much anticipated Bin Roye released today and has left us more impatient than ever for its release.

The trailer starts off with Mahira running around in fields, looking chirpy as ever and goes on to show multiple shots of Armeena Rana Khan's wedding taking place, where Mahira is seen dancing (look out for a glimpse of Adeel Hussain in the dance number!).

Dubbed a story of love and hate, the two and a half minute trailer shows shots of Saeed romancing Armeena and tension between him and Mahira.

According to their Facebook page, Bin Roye is the story of two sisters and after the untimely death of one sister, the other has to step into her shoes. What we can deduce from the trailer is that Armeena was initially married to Saeed and when she passes away, Mahira is then forced to marry her ex-brother-in-law.

The romantic drama is based on Farhat Ishtiaq's acclaimed novel 'Bin Roye Aansoo' and has been produced by Momina Duraid of Zindagi Gulzar Hai and Humsafar fame. Ishtiaq is also the brains behind Humsafar and Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu.

Talking to Instep in a recent interview, Mahira said: "It’s a full blown feature film. I love commercial cinema. I like watching a Ram Leela. I like my dance and song. And I have danced in Bin Roye."

The movie also stars Zeba Bakhtiar, Javed Sheikh and Junaid Khan among others and is slated for an Eid release. The feature film will also be turned into a drama series for Hum TV.

Well, it doesn't intrigue me one bit. The trailer, at no point, piqued my interest. Seems just another ordinary film based on a drama's script.

@Rahi milla Exactly!! that's what I was thinking when I saw this news on Dawn. There will be hardly anyone who will dislike Mahira but its just too much of her on TV. We have many other brilliant actors and they should be given chance as well. Also Mahira should be a bit selective and not let her fans bore of her too soon. If she does selective good work, her career will be long. Else its going to die short.

Pakistani producers should arrange for international releases of these good movies. we, here in USA have to rely on third class indian movies in theaters. I remember "Khuda kay lye" was released here and shown in jam packed theaters.

This movie trailer is wow! Very well produced trailer so hoping the movie, Bin Roye will be even more fascinating ... love the flowing, well executed dance choreography where Mahira's outfit is tastefully designed while keeping Pakistani culture in mind : )) In Pakistani productions such as this, less is certainly not more when it concerns female wardrobe designs. The Pakistani diaspora appreciates such movies which thankfully aren't cheap repros of bollywood superficiality and overexposed skin flicks. I hope in the future, one of our most talented and adorable actresses, Sohai Ali Abro will be cast in such productions. Since Zeba Bakhtiar is involved in Bin Roye, one can be sure it will be a gem of a movie! We need to support our nascent movie industry with full force, so best of luck to Team Bin Roye! We are looking forward to watching it! : D

@*DIAMOND * SHEHNAI This trailer is complicated. The editor has literally taken cuts from all portions of the film and compiled together, leaving the viewer confused on emotion. Trailers are teasers that entice the viewer for more, this one just throws everything on your face!

@*DIAMOND * SHEHNAI let me be very honest with you....agreed that most of the bollywood movies dontmake sense, but still u cant completely ignore movies like PK, bhag milkha bhag, mary kom. I myself was great fan od pakistani drama and used to watch it on youtube. But off late ur drama industry is walking the same path as indian tv industry. All dramas are either based on 2 sisters or 2 wifes same like ours soap wch only talked abt saas bahu.

Looking forward to it. I think Mahira has done only two dramas since Humsafar. I'm looking forward to both of her movies coming this year. She's a fantastic actor. But Humayun Saeed is just too old to be in this role. Why not give one of the younger guys a chance?

there are 3 films on the same story. So Farhat Ishtiaq's acclaimed novel is not so after all!! 1. Lori - Zeba, Mohammad Ali, Santosh, Talat Siddique 2. Suhaag - Shamim Ara, Nadeem, Zia Mohiyuddin 3. Hum Aapke hain kaun - Madhuri, Salman Khan... Please watch these three movies and hopefully you should be able to amen the record!
