LAHORE, Sept 26: International Cricket Council (ICC) has appointed field, T.V and reserve umpires for the Pakistan and South Africa series of two Tests and five One-day matches to be held from Oct 1 to 28.

Clive Lloyd has been appointed as referee of the series.

Darrell Hair of Australia with one Pakistan umpire will officiate the five One-day series from Oct 3 to 12.

 Hair had called out Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar and Sri Lankan’s off-spinner Muralitharan for chucking.

For the two Test series, ICC has appointed Hair with Neil Mallender (England) for the first Test to be held at Lahore from Oct 17 to 21. Australians Simon Taufel and Daryl Harper will officiate the second Test at Faisalabad from Oct 24 to 28.

Pakistan umpire Aleem Dar, who will be standing in three One- dayers — the first, fourth and fifth, will not be available as TV or reserve umpires for the two Test series, because of his appointment in the same capacity for the two Test and three One-dayers series between England and Bangladesh which starts on Oct 17 in Bangladesh.

Oct 5: 2nd One-day at the Gaddafi Stadium. F.U: Nadeem Ghauri-Darrell Hair. TV: Asad Rauf. R.U: Nazir Junior.

Oct 7: 3rd One-day at Faisalabad. F.U: Nadeem Ghauri-Darrell Hair. TV: Aleem Dar. R.U: Siddique Khan.

Oct 10: 4th One-day at Rawalpindi (D/N). F.U: Aleem Dar-Darrell Hair: TV: Asad Rauf. R.U: Z.I Pasha.

Oct 12: 5th One-day at Rawalpindi (D/N). F.U: Aleem Dar-Darrell Hair. TV: Asad Rauf. R.U: Z.I Pasha.

Oct 17-21: 1st Test match at Lahore. Darrell Hair-Neil Mallender. TV: Nadeem Ghouri. R.U: Siddique Khan.

Oct 24-28: 2nd Test match at Faisalabad. Simon Taufel-Daryl Harper. TV: Asad Rauf. R.U: Nazir Junior.
