KARACHI: Shaikh Fahad excelled with brilliant all-round effort to help Bangkok General Trading defeat M.A. Textile by seven wickets in their 20th Hinopak Trophy KCCA Inter-departmental Cricket League fixture at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground on Tuesday.

Fahad first grabbed five wickets for 36 runs with his leg-spin bowling as M.A. Textile were dismissed for 156 in 41.2 overs. He then hit six boundaries and hoisted four sixes in making 69 while guiding his team to victory midway through the 25th over.

Despite Zohaib Hassan scoring 96 (11 boundaries), Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KW&WB) failed to prevent Soni Associates sealing a five-wicket win at the TMC Ground.

Hasan Mohsin (84 with four fours and two sixes), Faizan Bari (64, eight fours) and S.M Tahami (51, nine fours and one six) all made useful contributions while helping Al-Amin Salt Refinery to a four-wicket victory over FBR at the KCCA Stadium.
