KHUZDAR: The chairmen of Kharan District Council and Kharan Union Council reached their homes on Tuesday after they were freed by their kidnappers.

Saghir Ahmed Badani and Mohammad Azam were kidnapped four days ago by armed men in Lejah area of Kharan where they had gone to condole the death of a tribal elder.

“They are safe and sound and have reached homes,” family members of the two local bodies’ representatives told Dawn.

A spokesman for a banned organisation had claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
