URDU-speaking people have long held the reputation of being sophisticated, mild and civilised. We have many renowned scholars, intellectuals, academics and others coming from the same community. Unfortunately, this image has been shattered by the MQM’s reputation and the misconception that every Urdu-speaker is part of the MQM.

People need to understand that the MQM is just another political outfit that is in no way representative of the entire community.

I agree 100% with the writer's comments. It is unfortunate that all over the country MQM has given Urdu-speaking a bad name. Few among actually support the MQM. Here is word for the wise "If you wish for peace work for Justice."

This is absolutely true. One may hate MQM but there is no denying the fact that Urdu speaking people are the loveliest people of this country. Their patriotism and love for the country is an example to follow and their contribution in defense, science, technology, business, education, research, performing arts, etc. is second to none. They are jewel in the crown of a country called Pakistan.
