TIMERGARA: The passing-out parade of the newly inducted 100 personnel of the Special Police Force and Dir Levies was held here on Monday. The fresh recruits completed a three-week special training organised by the Pak Army at the Dir Scouts ground in Balambat.

Commandant, Dir Scouts, Colonel Nasar Umar Hayat Lalika was the chief guest on the occasion. Lower Dir deputy commissioner Sohail Khan, district police officer Qasim Ali Khan, assistant commissioner, Maidan, Hikmatullah Wazir, ANP central senior vice president Zahir Shah Khan and a large number local elders were in attendance.

The Special Police Force and Levies officials demonstrated skills in combat, establishing a checkpost, protecting VIPs, handling weapons, and firing from different positions. They received great admiration from the participants.

Colonel Lalika gave away trophies to the cops who performed well during the training.
