ISLAMABAD: The top ten players of the country will vie for the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Amateur Golf Cup title which tees of from April 3 here at the Margalla Greens Golf Club.

“The top ten golfers of the country will be seen in action at the event,” a Pakistan Navy official told Dawn on the condition of anonymity.

“The event is being sponsored by Turkish Airlines, Zong and Toyota with the top three players at the tournament to also be provided business and economy class tickets by Turkish carrier.”

The official added that Chief of Naval Staff will be the chief guest on the final day.

The event will see over 200 golfers with high-ranking officials from the Armed Forces taking part. “The basic purpose of holding this event is promotion of golf in the country,” a Navy spokesman said.
