KHAIRPUR, Sept 25: Two persons, including a minor girl, were shot dead and four others injured during a kidnapping attempt in Malha Dharejo village in the jurisdictions of Babarloi police station on Wednesday night.

About nine armed men entered the house of Zahid Dharejo and tried to kidnap his daughter. The inmates offered resistance as a result of which Zahid Dharejo, 45, and the minor girl, Fiza, were killed whereas Abdul Bashir, Manzoor Ali, Rukhsana and a minor boy, Abid, were injured.

The armed men succeeded in kidnapping Zareena, 17, daughter of the deceased. The incident reportedly took place due to a marriage dispute.

Abdul Bashir registered a case at Babarloi police station on Thursday against Rajib alias Mitho, Qalandar Bakhsh, Asadullah, Sanaullah, Amanullah, Latifullah, Aand Molan, Bashir Ahmed and Suhrab Mahar.
