NAWABSHAH, Sept 25: SASO managing director Khalid Mehmood Soomro said that severe action would be taken against those involved in adulteration of fertilizers and pesticides while chairing a meeting here on Wednesday.

The Sindh chief secretary had earlier constituted a provincial committee to check adulteration in fertilizers and pesticides, headed by Mr Soomro and including PD, Sindh cotton development, and EDO (Revenue) as members.

Mr Soomro directed the district officer (Agriculture) to submit a list of registered dealers so that action could be taken against defaulters by paying surprise visits.

DCO Abdul Qadir Mangi said a complaints centre would soon be established at the DDO revenue office and appealed to the farmers to register their complaints so that action could be taken.
