ISLAMABAD, Sept 24: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested three members of an international gang of drug-traffickers and seized 1.5 kg heroin from their possession during a raid at a hotel in sector G-9/4, the spokesman for the ANF said.

The three accused, a Romanian national Catalin Rafael Bondea and his two Nigerian accomplices, Undunze Bartholomen and Johnsona, were arrested from the hotel and 45 heroin-filled capsules were recovered from their possession.

The spokesman said the head of the special investigation cell received information that these three people would try to smuggle heroin from Islamabad to Europe.

After the arrest, the Rumanian national was subjected to X- Ray/ Ultrasound tests but nothing extraordinary was found in his stomach. However, when an experienced team of the ANF tactfully handled Catalin Rafael Bondea, he confessed presence of 38 heroin-filled capsules in his stomach.
