KARACHI: Eleven teams across the country have so far confirmed their participation in the All Pakistan Kashmir Cup Basketball Championship which is being played at the KPT Sports Complex from March 23 to 29.

The arrangements were reviewed in a meeting of the organising committee held here with former Karachi Basketball Association (KBA) president Iqbal Umer in the chair. Former international and KBA secretary Abdul Nasir and Mohammad Yaqoob are chief organising secretary and organising secretary respectively.

Besides forming various committees for the smooth functioning of the event, the meeting decided that accommodation arrangements for players of the provincial teams will be made at the KPT Sports Complex.

The teams that have confirmed their participation include Army, Navy, Railways, Police, Wapda, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Fata, Islamabad and the hosts Sindh. Three teams – PAF, Higher Education Commission and POF Wah — have not confirmed their participation.
