Even though it's Rohit Shetty's birthday today, he's decided to give his fans a present instead: the Chennai Express director announced the cast of his upcoming movie, Dilwale and confirmed that Shahrukh Khan and Kajol will be reuniting on the silver screen, reports Times of India.

Rohit also confirmed the rest of the cast, saying "The film also has Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Vinod Khanna, Kabir Bedi, Johny Lever and Varun (Choocha) Sharma. It is being made by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Rohit Shetty Productions. It is not a remake of any film and will release this Christmas."

Talking to Hindustan Times, Shetty also reveals details about the movie's genre.

"It’s a wholesome entertainer and I would not categorise it as an action or a comedy film. It’s a family film that has everything in it. I also have the big responsibility of bringing Kajol back after a long time, and pairing her with Shah Rukh. All I can do is work really hard," he says.
