Singer Taylor Swift often reveals her desirable, long legs, as she dons summer dresses and skirts. On Sunday, it was revealed that the 'You Belong With Me' hitmaker had insured her legs for a whooping $40 million, reports Daily Mail.

A source revealed, "It seems like a ludicrous sum, but if something was to happen to her legs, Taylor wouldn't be able to give her signature stage performances. Her $200 million career would be in big trouble."

The Grammy Award winning 25-year-old credits a great part of her success to her performances and as she is set to go on a global tour in May, it only makes sense that her team would seek to take every precaution necessary.

No one was more shocked than Swift herself on learning how much her legs were worth. The source added: "She thought her legs were worth like a million but 40 million shocked her. She's even a little embarrassed about it."

Her managers are currently completing the paperwork in time for her world tour.
