ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will announce on Monday its verdict on Mumtaz Qadri’s appeal against his conviction in the murder case of then governor of Punjab Salman Taseer.

An anti-terrorism court of Rawalpindi had in Oct 2011 awarded death sentence to Qadri, a former commando of Punjab police’s Elite Force, for assassinating Mr Taseer in Islamabad’s Kohsar Market.
