ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Friday said the Chinese President will visit Pakistan very soon, adding that dates for the visit were being finalised through diplomatic channels.

Talking to newsmen here, he said efforts were being made to finalise the date.

Replying to a question about the visit of Indian Minister for External Affairs to Pakistan and talks between the two foreign secretaries, the adviser said there was no serious progress in these talks but they could be termed as start of future talks between the two countries.

He said although the two foreign secretaries discussed all the issues and concerns of the two countries and still there was need to achieve some progress on the dialogue process and expressed the hope that there could be progress in these talks in future.

He said there was no breakthrough in the recently held talks between the two foreign secretaries.

Mr Sartaj Aziz said no date had been fixed for the next round of talks.
