KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Thursday evening claimed to have killed three ‘gangsters’ linked with Lyari gang warfare in Jamshed Quarters during an ‘encounter’ in which two personnel of the paramilitary force and an Edhi Foundation volunteer were also wounded, the police and hospital officials said.

The paramilitary force conducted a targeted raid in Baloch Para, the Rangers spokesperson said.

On seeing the soldiers, the suspected gangsters resorted to firing upon which the troops returned fire and an encounter ensued in which three suspects were gunned down, said the spokesperson.

The officer identified one of the deceased as Aurangzaib, alias Orang. The official claimed that Orang was the ‘most wanted gangster of the Uzair Baloch group’.

The other two were identified as Abdullah and Ghulam, alias Gullo, the Rangers official said.
