I guess this was the match where they should have played Sarfaraz Nasir Looks badly out of touch after the first over. If we won't try out Sarfaraz in a match against UAE then when are we going to give him a chance. Part time keeper is also a problem. Afridi was so right in saying that I told Mr. Akmal to cooperate so he can reach 400 wickets. So it made complete sence to play Sarfaraz today. Fawad and Sarfaraz move out of Karachi boys if you want to have any chance of playing for Pakistan.

I have never said anything against Misbah before, but last night when I read that he is still supporting Nasir Jamshed, after later's collapse with batting and fielding, I am giving up on his captaincy skills. The fact that N. jameshed has got himself out playing similar shot is strong enough reason to get him out of the squad, let alone the fielding mishaps he has created. Just because Misbah's personal favouritism he is not letting Sarfraz play. This is just unacceptable, the way Nasir is playing he wont even be able to play with our social cricket team, let alone the worldcup.

Even my dog recommended Nasir Jamshed be replaced by Sarfraz, in presence of Jamshed and Younus Pakistan is playing with 9 players. Shame on PCB final selectors. Move PCB headquarter to Karachi; all the PCB main personale should be forcefully retired without any pension.

Even if Pakistan goes ahead to next round or even if it goes to win the CUP, it will be pure LUCK or one bad match of oppositions. This team lacks attitude, plan, fighting skills and looks like they have left the result on opposition team perform bad. When every country and associate are comfortably making 300, Pakistan never looks like even if we go by stats of the player. Even their bowling is mediocre. My suggestion just bow out gracefully and stop pretending of putting 100% or being dramatic.

Fixed match -no doubt!

No doubt Pakistan should win after scoring 339 but Afridi should have been sent a lot earlier. Misbah is scared even when in strong position. Had Misbah sent Afridi in to bat instead of himself, Sohaib or Umar, Pakistan could have had 375 and even if Afridi didn't score big Pakistan had enough batsmen left to even then score 300. You need big heart to be big leader which Misbah doesn't have. Secondly, Instead of playing Nasir Jamshed they should open with Haris or they may play with 10 players but for God sake enough of jamshed.

Everyone knows Sarfraz needs to play instead of Nasir and Akmal should only play as a batter but there are people based from Karachi who are playing for Pakistan. Pakistan need good fielding to restrict South Africa under 180. If Pak win the toss then decided to bat first & then batsman should post atleast 250+ runs. Meanwhile YASIR SHAH must play vs South Africa as they are weaker to play quality leg spin of Pak bowling level. SARFRAZ AHMAD should play in place of NASIR JAMSHED.

If Dawn runs a poll, I am sure there will be many who still think that we can win World Cup. Brian Lara is wrong when he says that Pakistan need to wake-up before thinking of semis. It should be Pakistan (that is all of us not just the team) need to shake-up before thinking of winning. I am sorry about the pessimistic view in the middle of Pak-UAE match but when I see the other teams playing professional cricket and their officials behaving professionally, I just wish we could do the same. @LiFafi Sahafi What @sunill punditt is saying has merit. Despite the poor performance by Pakistan, beating UAE is not difficult. So you do not need to fix the match to make Pakistan win. You will do that to make Pakistan gain enough net run rate to move to 3rd position in the points table. Has UAE batted first this would have been very difficult. A score of, say, 175 by UAE would have required Pakistan to win in less than 20 overs, i.e., an asking run rate of almost 9 runs per over. Not a easy target for Pakistan batsmen. In the present scenario, Pakistan has to get the UAE out in under 195, which is doable. This is so obvious that I hope that I am wrong otherwise I am seeing dark days ahead for Pakistan team.

UAE will be out below the figure Pakistan require so that net run rate will be better than Ireland and Windies! Not rocket science- this is fixed! Look at UAE- they are trying not to make runs or trying to get out with deliberate edges! ICC are no fools particularly when one team is world famous for fixing

So, this was the reason on a batting pitch upon winning the toss they made pakistan to bat so that pakistan should score 300 + and now look at their batting, they are not at all willing to score runs. Is this ODI or test match ? Remember atleast zimbabwe tried to make some runs. So, bottomline is this match is fixed !

This match looks totally fixed. UAE seems to have played its role in helping pakistan move to quarter finals. paksitanis shouldn't be feeling too happy because they couldn't bowl all out a weak team like UAE in 50 overs! India bowled UAE all out for 102.

@Saad you are telling his batting style is not legal but for me he himself is illegal , he is not there in the team based upon domestic performance, he is there because of recommendation of corrupted politicians behind him. sarfraz, Fawad alam , shoaib malik all are victims of dirty politics being played around them.thats why they are not in the team.
