ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has succeeded in establishing access road to Park Enclave project from Park Road and Kuri village.

Locals were not allowing the access road from the adjoining main roads, but some political personalities of the area intervened and got a settlement to the issue, sources said on Friday.

However, the project still faces issues, which hinder the development work.

According to sources, the locals of the area are still holding some land.

“The total area of Park Enclave is around 1,750 kanal but the CDA could acquire only 1,500 kanal,” said an official of the estate department.

But the spokesman for the CDA, Ramzan Sajid, was pretty confident that the project would be completed on time.

Meanwhile during a briefing at Park Enclave, the Chairman CDA was informed that development activities in the project would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs1.26 billion.

“The development work includes construction of major roads, service roads and footpaths,” the project manager briefed the chairman CDA.

He said water supply line, sewerage system were being laid besides construction of bridges.

In addition to construction of main gate, security check posts and landscaping to beautify the housing project are also in progress, he said.

During the visit to Park Enclave, the CDA chairman expressed confidence that the project would be completed by December 2015 and the allottees would be handed over their plots before the end of current year.
