KANDAHAR, Sept 20: An Afghan police commander was killed and his two bodyguards severely wounded in a drive-by shooting by alleged Taliban in southern Afghanistan, local officials said on Saturday.

Sardar Mohammad was killed on Friday by gunmen who opened fire on him and his bodyguards from a Toyota Corolla in Sangisar village, said Haji Abdul Jhani, head of Zaridasht district.—AFP
