SUKKUR, Sept 19: Hesco authorities on Wednesday disconnected power supply to nine villages of Jacobabad district due to non- payment of electricity bills.

These villages included Sher Mohammad Domki, Ali Dost Golo, Aashiq Ali Golato, Karam Ali Panhwar and others.

Hyderabad Electric Supply Company authorities said villagers were warned of disconnection beforehand.

They said when they failed to clear dues, the power supply was disconnected.

Residents of these villages, however, said they were deprived of electricity as they refused to pay bribe to Hesco officials.
