Afghan cleric held for delivering ‘hate speech’

NOWSHERA: The police arrested an Afghan prayer leader for delivering hate speech during Friday sermon at Pabbi.

Pabbi police arrested Afghan cleric, Maulvi Noorullah, after complaint by local people that he delivered a provocative speech during the Friday sermon.

Maulvi Noorullah is prayer leader at the Jamia Masjid Tahirzai No 1, Pabbi main bazaar.

Soon after receiving the information about hate speech, a police party led by SHO Pabbi Shad Ali Khan reached the mosque and arrested the cleric under MPO 16.

Meanwhile, a young boy (17) committed suicide after exchange of hot words with his family at Badrashi here on Friday.

A local resident said that Hashir Zaman from Chitral, who was presently residing in Badrashi, exchanged hot words with his parents at home, and later took a pistol and shot and injured himself.

Police said that people took him to district headquarter hospital, Nowshera, but he succumbed to injuries.

The use of the word 'Meanwhile' in this news item is odd. The term implies some sort of connection while there is none.

The government should realize now and do proper assessment of the situation, because these afghans proliferated into entire country and specially in KPK and took almost all the mosque as Pesh-e-Imam, so they could hold the mind of the public (example see all the past Eid holidays they were behind the mind of the KPK people, who discarded government declaration on every Eid holidays) . Moreover through this they can claim the kpk as part of the Afghanistan. If we remember after Afghan-USSR was we heard about Durant line. So wake up.

Only educated, liberal person, Islamic Scholars and Muftis and not bigoted Mullah's should be allowed for Friday sermons, and to be the Imam of the mosques.

Wake up see the quality of these man have they given anything to our society in last few hundred years like school institutions health governance. If not why go to such man. And use your brain is their anything useful they have to offer to your children it dose not take long In this 21st century to judge a man. Mat be 5 or 10 minutes if not why see the face of such hate moongers. Any teaching any system should be making me and my family capable human beings if not just leave those man their are plenty of good Muslim scholars.
